Story
This movie is a about an italian sea pilot who is transformed into a pig after a show of cowardice where he lost his friend in the worst dog fight he ever saw. The movie starts off with marko (the pilot) showing off the fact that he is a bounty hunter working freeing some little girls from a pirate take over. A pilot called Curtis shoots him down for the reputation he would gain. After he is shoot down he returns to Italy and repairs his plane the engineer of the plane comes along a 17 year old girl called Theo. The two bond while they fly. Curtis and the sky pirates find them and Theo challenges Curtis to a duel for markos honor the two fight in planes and fists whereas marko is victorious and the film ends with a monalogue from Theo.

Marco is the main character who was transformed into a pig and is the pilot. Theo is also the secondary character all of these characters have a certain comedic affect to them which helps the movie keep this light tone. Even the sky pirates half way through the movie seem to gain a certain thing of honour and comedy the sky pirates were a constant hint of comedy in the movie,
Sound
The cast for this film is fantastic with actors like Micheal Keaton playing marko this means that the quality of the voice acting is fantastic with the English acting. The sounds of planes are fantastic with every sound quality being looked over and perfected. All of the voice actors play their roles fantastically
Locations
The locations in this film were absolutely stunning with Miyazaki’s stunning visuals showing again. Every film seems to have different visuals and colour pallets. The ocean of the Adriatic is stunning with the reflections of the planes red glow shining of the oceans sunlight. The castle in the sea is based of a real castle which allows the animators to play around with the visuals.
